Course Selection

Course Selection for Next Year

Course selection for the upcoming school year will take place beginning each January. This is an important time for students to plan their academic journey and ensure they are on track to meet their graduation requirements and future goals.

We encourage all students to begin reviewing their options and thinking about the courses they would like to take at the high school and potentially through dual enrollment.

Key Actions for Students and Families:

  • Review Graduation Requirements: Familiarize yourself with the necessary credits for graduation.

  • Discuss with Parents/Guardians: Talk about your academic interests and career aspirations.

The Counselor's Role in Course Selection:

  • School Counselors: Meet with students by grade level to assist with the selection of elective courses (such as World Language, Cambridge, Fine Arts, etc.). Core classes, however, are automatically pre-populated for each student. Parents will be made aware of their student's final course selections.

More specific information, including detailed timelines and instructions on how to select your courses soon.
