Vision and Mission Statement
The vision of Elite Scholars Academy Counseling Department is to enrich the lives of students by facilitating academic, personal, & social growth through the use of developmentally appropriate activities and interventions. Students will develop the attitudes, knowledge and skills necessary for college and career success which, will propel them into becoming future leaders in a globally competitive economy.

The mission of the Elite Scholars Academy Counseling Department is to support ALL students by implementing a comprehensive and developmental program that addresses and enhances the personal/social, academic, and career competencies necessary for students to become productive, responsible citizens and leaders in the 21st century.

Philosophy Statement
We believe that all students can learn. Increasing academic, personal/social and career skills enhance learning. We believe all students have a right to participate in a school counseling program that is preventive in nature and is comprehensive and developmentally appropriate in design. A state certified school counselor is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the comprehensive school counseling program which addresses the academic, personal/social, and career needs of ALL students. We believe that counselors should follow the ethical standards identified by CCPS, GaDOE, and ASCA. We believe that the effectiveness of the school counseling program should be evaluated by collecting data on the overall program, small groups, classroom guidance, and closing the gap interventions. The school counselor should utilize data to identify students who can benefit from closing the gap interventions and activities. The professional school counselor should also commit to continued professional development.
