You should receive an email with your library card information in 5-7 days. Students, if you already have a physical library card or previously requested/received a digital library card, please use those credentials to login to the online resources. There is no need to request a second public library card.  A digital library card gives you access to digital and online resources from the public library. A physical library card allows you to check out physical books at the public library, as well as gives you access to digital and online resources from the public library. Adults cannot request a digital public library card. Instead, Adults can apply for a card online https://claytonpl.org/use-the-library/get-a-library-card/ or visit a local branch.

Policies and Procedures
>Students need a media center pass, signed by their classroom period teacher, to visit the media center during class periods. Students must sign in and sign out at the circulation desk, and return to class before transitions and dismissal.

>Students may checkout two books at a time. Books are checked out for two weeks. Students may renew a book twice and can place one book on hold. If an item is lost or damaged, students will be fined for the replacement cost of the item. Overdue books must be returned and fees must be paid for any lost or damaged books before the student can checkout more items. Parents will be contacted for students who have severely overdue books.

>There are student computers and a printer available for use in the media center. Students may print only school related materials as needed, and within reason. Printing is not permitted during class change/transitions. Computers are only to be used for school work and research.

>No food or drinks in the media center. Clean up after yourself by pushing in chairs, putting materials back, collecting all your personal items, and throwing trash away. Be respectful of others and remember that the media center is a quiet and academic setting.

>Please be advised, Media Center hours may vary due to meetings, testing, special events, classes, inventory, and other circumstances.
